Top 10 Sydney Revelry On this week 12/05/2019

This week you’re going full throttle. And we’re not just referring to the violent desire to strangle your mother after her fiftieth reference to your biological clock.

10) WeLove #200: Paco Osuna, Barbuto and Nick Reverse

17th May

What: 3 levels of music and 2 massive international artists performing exclusively will give you the biggest and baddest WeLove to date. Paco has picked up several prizes for his hard work on and off the stage, receiving the awards for Best Artist, Best Techno DJ, Best Producer and Best Remix from the Vicious Awards and DJ Mag Spain. Since signing with Octopus labels Tronic, Phobiq, OFF, Unity and Transmit amongst several others have released Barbuto’s music which attracted the attention of mainstay artists.

Why: 3 levels of music; 2 international artists; 1 aching chasm of loneliness that has forced to you endure the club scene just to experience human contact.

9) Sugar Republic Sydney: Final Weekend

12th May

What: Relive your childhood at the Sugar Republic! A huge ball-pit, a swing in a fairy-floss room, a giant jump-outable birthday cake, a mini cinema of the sweetest films, a sherbet rainbow bridge and a wall of sprinkles!

Why: You’ll also get a severe chronic case of type 2 diabetes to take home with you!

8) Mother’s Day ‘Gin High Tea’

7) Kaleidoscope Dreams

17th May

What: Kaleidoscope Dreams: an incredible evening of amazing music, delicious food, fire, poi and hoop play, markets, dancing and good people in a magical space. Bring along your hoops, poi, staffs, any fire and glow toys as there will be a little space for play. There will also be a delicious Mexican food truck on site to have a bite.

Why: We accept no liability for attracting pyromaniacs. That’s on them.

6) Whisky & Sherry: The Greatest Love Story

18th May

What: This is NOT your traditional whisky event or tasting. Expect live music by Spanish Guitarist, the man, Mike Ritz. Red lights. A long table filled with Spanish inspired tapas paired with four courses of GlenDronach expressions and four carefully selected Sherries.

Why: Ahh, tapas. The perfect accompaniment to elegant binge drinking – it hurts much less than a kilo of ribs when it comes back out.

5) Awaken Full Moon Experience

18th May

What: Come to the exciting new Sound Dome at Fox studios for an evening of music, dance, and community. With special guest musical and dance performances, superfood elixir bars, DJ sets, night markets, and more. Celebrate under the full moon on what sets to be an evening to remember!

Why: What better way to experience the spirituality of a lunar festival than in an entirely enclosed space associated with radical right wing media?

4) The Whisky Show

17th-18th May

What: With over 50 brands and more than 200 different whiskies to sample and to buy, the Show includes exciting new brands, Masterclasses and a pop-up shop offering an extensive range of whiskies at special show prices.

Why: An event that’ll get you just greased up enough to finally board that flight to some far off land away from the drudgery of your everyday life. You’ll already be at the airport. There’s only so many times you can avoid fate.

3) Throttle Roll Warehouse Party

18th May

What: Throttle Roll is back! It’s time to conquer two warehouses for the warehouse party of the century. Get ready for live art, mechanical bulls, barbers, food trucks, BMX flatland displays, some of the craziest bikes you will ever see, interactive activations, mini-movies and so much more!

Why: If you play it right, you might be able to inhale the right amount of exhaust fumes to enable you to find mechanical bulls charming.

2) Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

12th-17th May

What: This May will see one of the only international platforms for Australian fashion return to Australia.  It’s a week long schedule of runway shows, presentations and key industry events that will provide the Australian Fashion Industry with opportunities to maximise business outcomes.

Why: Bathe yourself in the visual brilliance and wonderful expressions of individuality clamouring for acknowledgement in the form of a cheque. Oh yes, and bring laxatives. You’ll need them to get into most venues. Ipecac might get you a front row seat.

1) Sydney International Comedy Festival

28th April-19th May

What: Sydney’s biggest month of comedy returns with hundreds of the world’s funniest comedians taking to stages across the city!
