It’s a furore of festivals on the menu this week, Sydney. Bill Murray’s here. Unfortunately, so are Smash Mouth.


10) Retro Arcade Club – November Edition

4th November

The ultimate retro console and arcade party for kids of all ages. Featuring: Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, The Simpsons, NBA JAM, Mortal Kombat 2, Street Fighter 2, Marvel vs Capcom, Point Blank 2, Ghosts n’ Goblins, Space Invaders, Golden Axe, Double Dragon, Galaga and Time Crisis 2. 9) Taste of Sydney Collective

8th-12th November

This 4-day festival of food features 6 immersive sessions, where collaborators will work with unique themes each day. The themes will guide not only the culinary experience, but also the music, atmosphere, fringe events and vibe. Inspired by culture, geography and style and, of course, tickling the tastebuds.


8) Melbourne Cup at The Duke of Clarence

6th November

5) Def Leppard with Scorpions Live Tour

4) Smash Mouth Live

Californian rockers, Smash Mouth, have just announced they will return to Australia! Smash Mouth were regular chart toppers and rode the wave of the 90’s ‘alternative’ music scene, selling in excess of 10 million albums worldwide. They are no strangers to our audiences with songs like the All Star, Can’t Get Enough of You Baby, Walkin’ On The Sun and celebrated Monkees classic I’m A Believer.


3) Newtown Festival

11th November

Celebrating 40 years inspiring social change, the Newtown Festival will return to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of Sydney’s biggest and most beloved annual events! Featuring: A Kids Zone, Heaps Gay Karaoke Closet, Better Read Than Dead Writer’s Tent, Commune, Sassy Treats’ Dog Show and a live music lineup including Furnace and the Fundamentals, Georgia June, Georgia Mulligan, Jackie Brown Jr, The Kid Laroi, K.I.M, Motherfunk, Nooky, Ollie Thorpe, Palms, Pirra and Planet.

1) Bill Murray LIVE!

9th & 10th November

The legendary actor and comedian Bill Murray, and world renowned Cellist Jan Vogler are bringing their ‘New Worlds’ tour to Australia and New Zealand this November. The two met during their travels and became friends in New York. Curious about each others artistic world and interests, the actor and the cellist soon had the idea to work together on a project. A program that showcases the core of the American values in literature and music. A show that communicates the bridges artists have built between America and Europe. Twain, Hemingway, Whitman, Cooper, Bernstein, Gershwin and Foster are some of the strongest voices that influenced generations of humans in America and gave the world a picture of the charm, energy and creative force of the ‘New Worlds’.
