10) Light, Paper, Space
27th June
What: It can’t get more simple: use a single light source and paper to understand and create space in photography. What sounds simple turns out to be a complex exercise. Join acclaimed still-life photographer Joachim Froese for a studio workshop that will take you on an experimental journey.
Why: Because you have too much money, too much time and a gaping lack of purpose.

9) It Takes Two
2nd July
What: In the words of Joseph and Lisa, “Art brought us together, and ever since then we have been each other’s inspiration and support. So this exhibition is a celebration of our creative partnership. While we are both very much individual artists, we feel that our work also compliments well. We hope you enjoy our paintings as much as we enjoyed painting them.”
Why: If the worst couple you know got an ego boost.

4) NAIDOC Exhibition Opening Night
3rd July
What: In late 2020, Birrunga and Harry reunited after decades. Both men grew up on Kabi Kabi land, Badderam (Buderim), and share a love and connection to Country as well as history. After viewing a show of Harry’s works, Birrunga realised Harry ‘knew Country’, it was clear as day in the beautiful landscapes Harry captured. Importantly, Country recognised Harry as well, an uncommon thing for a non-First Nations person. This gave life to the spark of a collaboration. Experience the astonishing result.
Why: One three hour opening night and you’re guilt-free till next year.
