10) Palm Creek Folk Festival
10th-13th June
What: The Palm Creek Folk Festival is approaching, celebrating its 30th anniversary at a new site – Foots Hill Station, Webb Road, Calcium, Queensland. The line-up includes Vaudeville Smash, Tullara, Salt & Steel, Jesse Morris & The Shakedown, Dan Baker & The Bookmakers and Tessa Devine.
Why: Pretend the soft, lyrical protestation of folk is still relevant.

9) James Reyne: In Case You Missed It

What: Aussie rocker James Reyne presents a rare and intimate acoustic duo set to a limited capacity audience. It’s all the songs you know and love in a ‘COVID safe’ environment.

6) Mere Women: Romantic Notions

What: Mere Women celebrate the release of their fourth album ‘Romantic Notions’ with a one off show in Brisbane at The Bearded Lady. 4) Ultraviolet and Friends

What: UltraViolet is an all-girl, alternative rock band, hailing from the South Coast of NSW and that’s the way they like it. Their ‘Black Keys’ – esq sound, ‘Wolfmother’ and ‘Powderfinger’ influences have been capturing the ears of local pub crowds and music festivals including ArtFest, Young Coasties, God Shave the Queen, Tattered n’ Torn, Burradise, SpookFest and Milton LibraryFest which may not sound cool, but really was. 3) Andy Bull: It’s All Connected

What: To celebrate his much-anticipated return from hiatus, Sydney’s beloved producer performer wunderkind Andy Bull will be playing solo renditions of his alt-pop gems Baby I Am Nobody Now, Keep On Running, Talk Too Much, Dog, and more; including sneak peaks of his stunning upcoming album.
Why: It’s interesting how German always makes something sound more credible.

2) Thelma Plum: Live

What: Thelma Plum has had a massive twelve months. The young Gamilaraay singer songwriter has released her debut album ‘Better in Blak’ to much acclaim, placing second in the triple j album of the year listeners poll and garnering nominations for the Australian Music Prize Album of the Year, six ARIA’s nominations, APRA Song of the Year and, with three songs in the Hottest 100 including the album’s title track at #9, she became the highest fan voted indigenous artist in the history of the poll.
