5) Alive At The Bluebird Presents: Gary Burr, Georgia Middleman & Jim Photoglo

What: Award-winning songwriter Gary Burr has been responsible for some of the greatest Pop and Country songs of the last three decades. The concerts, broadcast live from the historic Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa OK, will feature 3 shows at different times designed to cater to different regions of the world.

What: Formed in the rubble of a number of scene mainstays, Safety Net uses late-era punk “other” to tap into the space between acoustic and electronic music. With plenty of art project interludes on deck for the livestream, this will not be another jerk-off band practice masquerading as a show.
Why: Turns out there’s more than one Donny Tourette and mass sterilisation clearly has its merits.

2) Tape Deck Mountain: Live
10th January
What: Tape Deck Mountain is an American shoegaze/indie rock band founded in 2008 by San Diego native, Travis Trevisan. Pitchfork Media dubbed them ‘dark surf’ and Wild Honey Pie said they were ‘brooding, shoegaze Nirvana’. Their song ‘Ghost Colony’ was featured in Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy. Experience them live.
Why: Nirvana, as brought to you by FX, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.

What: Year of October is a fuzzed out rock band out of Nashville, TN. With their 4th album entitled ‘Wastelands’, the band has hit their stride combining Black Sabbath like riffs with Amy Winehouse vocals. With their explosive live performances this is not a band you want to miss. Experience them in a live virtual performance.
Why: Recapture the energy of that sweaty Manic Panic dyed teen still living inside you.

5) JAZZPARTY at The Night Cat

What: JAZZPARTY are an eight piece phenomena from Melbourne fronted by incomparable vocalist Loretta Miller and sporting the co-writing prowess of band leader/saxophonist, Darcy McNulty. JAZZPARTY erupts on stage and record alike as a living, breathing organism, fuelled by the fire of its own searing musicianship. Experience them live in their post-COVID comeback! Joining Miller and McNulty (both formerly of Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes) are colleagues Gideon Preiss (piano, vocals), Lachlan Mitchell (guitar, vocals), Donnie Stewart (trombone/trumpet, percussion), Eamon McNelis (trumpet), Dominic Hede (drums) and Jules Pascoe (double bass) whose collective credits range from work with Nai Palm (Hiatus Kaiyote), Husky, Jaala and more.
