The interview will follow with the screening of Three Sisters – Women of High Degree – seven years in the making with conversations between three Yimardoowarra Marninil, Nyikina women from the Fitzroy River, Lucy Marshall, Jeannie Wabi, and Anne Poelina, and French-Australian filmmaker Magali McDuffie.

5) Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears Exhibition

What: Discover the romance and adventure of costumes designed by Margot Wilson, including props and more from the recent cinematic release, Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears. Immerse yourself in the adventure with Phryne Fisher and unravel a decade-old mystery concerning priceless emeralds, ancient curses and the truth behind the disappearance of a forgotten tribe. The exhibition also includes costumes from Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, as well as pieces from the expanded Miss Fisher universe.

4) Old Melbourne Gaol
27th December
What: When the Old Melbourne Gaol was built in the mid-1800s, it dominated the Melbourne skyline as a symbol of authority. Inside the Gaol, dangerous criminals were held alongside petty offenders, the homeless and the mentally ill. Between 1842 and its closure in 1929 the gaol was the scene of 133 hangings, including one of Australia’s most infamous citizen: the bushranger Ned Kelly. Experience self-guided entry into the Old Melbourne Gaol and Watch House, and explore a harrowing and fascinating piece of Melbourne’s past.

These ladies are from Latin America and Australia. They cover the traditional classics from artists such as Rocio Durcal and Juan Gabriel as well as composing their original pieces. Their love for Mexican music unites them and creates a rich cacophony of lyrical drama!
