Cushion Your Fall with A Night of Covenant House Stars
Pain is relative.
During a time in which technically everyone is in crisis, being entirely self-involved is completely defensible. There has been an official announcement that everyone will be experiencing the fallout of this crisis and thus, ignoring the amplified screams of those who were already in need prior to COVID is not an act of selfishness, it’s an act of self-preservation.
Times such as these should be appreciated for what they gift us: an ironclad excuse for ignoring the destitute. After all, by social distancing yourself away from that homeless guy, you’re saving his life.
Sure, there’ll be a time soon again wherein you’ll have to face the grim reality that your self-involvement doesn’t just stem from ignorance, but rather from a purposeful, effortful blindness, but that time isn’t now yet.
However, it is a good idea to ensure your moral nosedive doesn’t actually break your face and we have an easy way to do so. It’s called A Night of Convenant House Stars.
Yes, Jon Bon Jovi, Dolly Parton, Meryl Streep, and other big names are set to perform for ‘A Night Of Covenant House Stars’, a live-streamed concert benefiting the Covenant House charity. It will be hosted by Broadway veteran Audra McDonald and 60 Minutes anchor John Dickerson. Other stars scheduled to make an appearance in the virtual concert include Diane Keaton, Stephen Colbert, Rachel Brosnahan, Robin Thicke, and Dionne Warwick.
A Night of Covenant House stars will be streamed on Youtube, iHeartRadio Broadway, Facebook, Twitch, and on the Stars in The House website in addition to Broadway on Demand.
There will come a time wherein you’ll have to face the monstrous being of pure ego you’ve become.
You might as well rack up a few charity streams in your browser history so your targeted content doesn’t become entirely comprised of hell’s Etsy.
