Some Things Will Never Change with Jersey 4 Jersey

Humans are emotionally fragile beings.

No matter what specific cocktail of psychopathic tendencies is currently in vogue due to a sexy accent and the golden age of streamable television, or how bigoted and visually prune-like a human becomes, at their core, humans are chronically squishy, wide-eyed and vulnerable beings.

Which is what makes an era such as this so terrifying.

We are facing an infectious villain without a stance, without a face and one that doesn’t discriminate based on arbitrary or non-arbitrary factors. There is no comforting authority to reassure us that everything will be okay because those with any scientific authority are adamant that for a good long while things most assuredly will not be okay.

So to whom can we turn to pump that calming juice into our correctly paranoid brains?

Who will croon to us that the normalcy we once occupied will be there once the force we can’t satisfyingly humanise and subsequently demonise is gone?

Why, celebrities of course! And they’ll all be there to figuratively stroke your hair and whisper “mummy’s here” at Jersey 4 Jersey!

Yes, the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund will be hosting JERSEY 4 JERSEY on Apple Music and AppleTV apps worldwide, on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio. A livestreamed concert of famous musicians and comedians to raise funds for those most affected by COVID-19. Halsey, Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, SZA, Charlie Puth, Saquon Barkley, Tony Bennett, Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg, Chelsea Handler, Kelly Ripa, Jon Stewart and more will be making appearances.

We’re all scared.

But if there’s one force that is indestructible, one force that can weather any catastrophe, a force that will be there for us even when were standing on the graves of our entire biological families, it’s the sweet plasticky embrace of the glitterati. It’s like licking an old lollipop stick you found stuck to the side of the bin every time.
