Reminisce (Don’t Dream Yet) at the Inland Sea of Sound Festival
We’re well into 2020 and the raw fear has abated.
We’ve, on the whole, been reassured that the monotony of our everyday lives remains as indestructible as ever, and the terrified screams that echoed around our conscious minds have been relegated to our subconscious, like so much future background radiation.
It’s an endless comfort that even on the brink of an environmental apocalypse and nuclear holocaust, pettiness and depression will always hold superior psychological rank.
As a species we’ve historically sh*t the bed countless times and we’ve always managed to power-wash most of it away, redo the hospital corners and get on with complaining about the erraticism of our toasters. How do we manage to do that? Why, with a nostalgic soundtrack, of course.
Enter: The Inland Sea of Sound Festival.
Yes, the Inland Sea of Sound is a major festival of music, arts and culture staged in the iconic location of Wahluu and it’s returning for 2020.
This year will feature an outstanding lineup headlined by Missy Higgins, Killing Heidi, Mojo Juju, Thando, Timberwolf and many more talented artists. A festival to truly make you feel on top of the world!
We are more aware than ever that we’ll soon have to face our eternal rest as a species in the increasingly sh*t-stained bed we’ve made for ourselves.
But that doesn’t mean that we can’t loudly fill our conscious minds with the distracting nostalgia of early 2000s indie pop right up until the final second before our head hits the pillow.
