Crank Up the Future at the Meredith Music Festival

Meredith is a name you don’t hear as often as you used to. Partly because it’s not really in vogue anymore, mostly because following Christmas in 2018, everyone decided to write off aunt Meredith because the dementia finally took her completely and she revealed that the bigotry she had been barely veiling actually ran far deeper than anyone could possibly have intuited.

It’s a year in a time in which letting go of past attitudes and relatives is more vital than ever in order to progress into a more harmonious future. Or least one without permanent gas masks and re-constitutionalised racial stratification.

Of course, moving into the future by completely divesting a society of past attitudes can result in certain failures.

For example, the proliferation of EDM and tiny indie music guitars.

But sacrifices must be made. Make the sacrifice at the Meredith Music Festival.

Headlining this year’s festival is Irish pop revolutionary Róisín Murphy. Joining her are local legends like Briggs, Amyl & The Sniffers and Julia Jacklin. Other international acts on the bill include magical South African rapper Sho Madjozi, German producer Helena Hauff, Swedish punks Viagra Boys and way more.”

The year will be 2020.

The sound of revolution will not be All Along the Watchtower, but Hyper-Intelligent Genetically Enriched Cyborg.
