8) Novel presents Stephan Bodzin (Live 2 Hrs) + Made in Paris

What: Stephan Bodzin is back! Following his sold out 2018 tour, one of the world’s biggest LIVE electronic music performers will be returning to Australia. Last year the German virtuoso took inspiration from a kaleidoscopic St. Kilda sunset to deliver one of the best sets of 2018. This time around Bodzin will be the first headline guest at the Thornbury Social Club, bringing a LIVE 2-hour set to a huge new warehouse space.
Why: Experience the talents of a free app in human form. It’s largely the same experience except with a 100% increase in the risk of contracting an STI.
7) Revolver Sundays present Spencer Parker

The London-born, Berlin-based artist masterfully straddles a heady mix of house, techno and disco that has seen him become a regular at legendary spots like Panorama Bar/Berghain and Concrete while his output sits in the boxes of DJs like Ryan Elliott, The Black Madonna, DVS1 and Gerd Janson. If you’re ready to dance, Spencer Parker is the man to get you moving!

4) Ok Moon Live

What: Ok Moon return to the stage in September to celebrate the release of their debut album, after selling out their debut Sydney and Melbourne shows earlier this year. The collaborative project from Dustin Tebbutt, Lanks, Hayden Calnin and Xavier Dunn deals in raw and colourful stories of the heart woven through cinematic pop songs. The artists have been working behind the scenes on this body of work for two years, and now are excited to bring their music to the stage.
Why: ‘Colourful stories of the heart woven through cinematic pop songs’. It speaks to the uniqueness and quality of their oeuvre that you can’t exactly tell which sleazy studio-head, tween pop promoter or ad agency spit-balling a breakfast cereal commercial came up with that line.

3) Melbourne Fringe Festival
22nd-29th September

Why: Hundreds of thousands of hipsters infesting every corner of city, randomly exploding in quasi-unsolicited theatrics. What a transformation for Melbourne.

What: Listen Out is Australia’s premier dance music event, bringing quality dance music to four spectacular inner city venues across Australia this spring. Why: It’s not enough that this genre infects nearly every place that serves life-giving substances every night. They had to erect an annual festival for it too.
