Roll the Dice at the Days Like This Festival

Taste in music is relative. It’s one of the brilliant things about music. No matter what kind of brain is living inside the squishy skull of each slimy mistake humanity births out, there’ll be some genre that’ll make its synapses fire in the right kinds of directions.

The human brain’s natural response to music, in equal parts logical and illogical, currently based on the age of Taylor Swift fan you’re talking to and whether they’re holding a machine gun and a confederate flag, a body pillow or a vast TikTok audience in possession of all three, is also responsible for exquisite symphonies, blood-pumping rock, heart-wrenching post-punk and the aural snuff porn of DAWs that is SoundCloud.

Speaking of SoundCloud, the Days Like This Festival is back in town.

Yes, the Days Like This Festival is returning for its fourth year to the lush inner-city grounds of Victoria Park, Camperdown. With its biggest lineup to date, the boutique one-day festival is powered by Funktion-One sound across 2 stages, making it the perfect destination for any electronic music fan.

This year’s lineup features ANNA, Ben UFO, The Black Madonna, Hoten, HUNEE, James Pepper, Litmus, Maceo Plex, MANU NEVES, Midland, NICK REVERSE, Nina Kraviz, Richie Hawtin, Stephan Bodzin (Live) and more.

Music is a crapshoot.

And very much like the game, if your brain’s pumping chemicals in certain kinds of ways, you’ll almost definitely lose all your money to a couple of folks that call themselves James Pepper and The Black Madonna.
