Angrily Trail Off at The System with the Viagra Boys

It’s an interesting time we inhabit.

All the mass proliferation of evil and horror without the to-be-storied artistic counteraction.

We’ve no flower-wreathed or glass-eating figureheads to immortalise our youthful rebellion.

Perhaps it’s because the system has gotten as squirrelly as us. Less outwardly malevolent and more a hands-wringing bureaucrat of a figure to whom mass genocide is equally morally dramatic as a percentage shift either way in GDP. We ourselves are not so much willing to punch the walls of the institutions of old until we’re bloody and our bones are poking out of our skin. It might f**k up the WiFi.

Perhaps, then, this isn’t a time for revolutionaries. Perhaps the world has gotten too far away from the black and white of good and evil. Perhaps what we need now is something that feels like a revolt, but has no chance of upending the intricate construct we can both largely ignore and always be vaguely dissatisfied with.
