10) Resist Day Party
26th October
What: Resist is proud to present its next massive event at this never-before-used-as-a-day-party-space venue. Featuring an almighty minimal, house and techno lineup.
Why: A rave remarkable for the new space in which it’s being held. Unless its in a newly established legal euthanasia clinic, we’re not sure this is particularly noteworthy.

9) Melbourne Techno Collective Celebrate 17 Years Of Techno
25th October
What: As they get set to take over New Guernica for their 17th Birthday, Melbourne Techno Collective are going to do what they do best and host an all local line up, featuring some of Melbourne’s very best! Line up: ACM Live, Mike Callendar, Mickey Nox, Ranjit Nijjer, C:1, Ed Thomas, Kritical, Craig McWhinney, Jay Reading, Death of Socrates, Peter Baker and Matt Radovich.
Why: It’s hard to believe it’s been 17 years. 17 whole years without a mass realisation that techno music is genuinely awful.
8) Xe54: Tinlicker (Live)
26th October
What: Tinlicker is debuting in Australia this October for their ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ album tour with the only Melbourne appearance at Xe54. Always honing progressive sounds, Tinlicker continually shape their destination, creating their new ideal in electronic music across globally celebrated labels like renowned Anjunadeep.
Why: What’s in a name? Apparently an explanation as to the childhood formation of a brain that relishes rave music.

7) Steve Bleas b2b Greg Sara: Under The Lamp
26th October
What: Whether listening to a particular electronic track or an electro artist’s performance, there is a moment where its construction connects with the listener. Under The Lamp is a celebration of this musical construction and the local artists that are some of its finest examples! When the lights go out and the lamp comes on, watch as headliners Steve Bleas & Greg Sara present their craft.
Why: They call that moment “fifth shot”.
6) Japanese Wallpaper Album Tour
25th October
What: Following his latest single Imaginary Friends, indie pop artist Japanese Wallpaper is set to release his debut full-length record Glow. To celebrate, Japanese Wallpaper will be heading on his biggest national tour to date with Lontalius (NZ) and Montgomery.
Why: Of course he’s white.

5) Bongo Porn with Jiggler & Uone
25th October
What: ‘Bongo Porn’ features mixes from some of the biggest heavyweights in the underground, including Uone & Out of Sorts, Andreas Henneberg and Kasitis Torrau & Donatello, not to mention the cosmically transcendent words from modern day poet Jay Haze. In celebration of the release, welcome special international guest Jiggler and a full host of Beat & Path favourites.
Why: Bongo Porn and Jiggler. We’d make some kind of joke, but, really, what the hell’s the point?
4) The Joy of Wine
20th October
What: The Joy of Wine is a veil-lifting guide to that most sensual of beverages. Celebrate the joys of the grape in a multitude of positions, from the wildly exotic to the missionary. The Joy of Wine is an event full of discovery, empowering a whole generation to enjoy wine unburdened by inhibition.
Why: We’re not sure they had to include those last three words. In fact, legally, we’re not sure it was wise. They’ve basically given you license to do your worst.

3) Halloweenfest
25th October
What: Calling all witches, zombies, ghosts, skeletons, vampires, monsters and all things Halloween to Melbourne’s biggest Halloween party. This year it’s back even bigger and better than last year’s sold out event as Halloweenfest comes to Billboards in 2019! It’s time to play trick or treat and party in Melbourne’s biggest nightclub that will be completely transformed into one HUGE Haunted House with Melbourne’s best DJ’s over 2 rooms. RIP the dance floor with Stance Daniels, Jamie Vlahos, Tonky, Frank, Jack and Will playing all your favourite RNB, House & Party Tunes + mixing in some of those Halloween classics!
Why: It’s exactly like every other club night except everyone will have stuffed themselves into various unflattering children’s costumes. Delightful.

Featuring their trademark heart-stopping blend of cabaret burlesque, comic capery and circus, it left Melbourne begging for more! Prepare yourself for interstellar aerial feats and warp-speed strippers from outer space as the Briefs boys apply their skill and humour to push the boundaries of artistry, masculinity and decency.
Why: See men dance for your approval whilst simultaneously pushing the boundaries of decency. It’s like parliament except you won’t want to burn your eyeballs out with acid afterwards.

1) Kyneton Music Festival
25th & 26th October
What: It’s that time of the year again where the Macedon Ranges comes alive during October, with sick tunes, sunkissed crowds, flowing drinks and good times. The Kyneton Music Festival is an annual party that runs for two days…so get ready to party. Get ready for a killer line-up featuring Ali Barter, Stonefield, Jade Imagine, the Putbacks, Hobsons Bay Coast Guard, Martin Frawley, Black Cab, Glitoris, Buried Feather, Ben Salter, Ryan Downey, Cry Club, Quivers, Murmurmur, Cool Sounds, Pleasure Coma, Rosa Maria, Matthew Colin, and Ross McLennan and the New World.
Why: At least they’ve confined themselves to a mountain range. Perhaps, for one night, the rest of Melbourne won’t have to encounter people that use the word ‘sick’ to indicate a positive reaction.
