10) Weapon Records & My Aeon present TWISTED SIBLINGS

What: Tetrameth & Shadox Fx have been a huge part of the Aussie scene, producing and playing at some of the biggest festivals worldwide & in Australia after headlining the main stage at Rainbow Serpent this year and causing chaos with their unique, Bush-based sounds! Along with these legends is the unique exploding up and comer Gumnut with his Jazz influenced melodies and incredible mixed style.
Why: What better way to experience the Australian bush than spewed through a synth in an electro club?
9) Murder By Death and Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers Live
23rd June
What: Louisville KY indie-Americana quintet Murder By Death and Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers will tour Australia this June. This will be Murder By Death’s first ever tour of Australia with the band promoting their latest studio album The Other Shore.
Why: Never heard of them? No matter. As is the universal mark of quality, you can find them on Kickstarter.
8) Neurotiq Erotiq feat. Pjenné + Millú + Interstellar Fugitives (Your Hosts)
28th June
What: Stepping out of the ‘sup and into the club Pjenné & Millú will be playing an exclusive extended set that’ll take you from late night fright ’til breakfast delight. Their mind-blowing performance at Golden Plains Festival earlier in the year saw the duo explore their love for techno, electro and acid basslines, all topped off with the most talked about body-shot of the 21st century.
Why: We’d not heard of ‘acid basslines’ before, but it makes sense. A night of swallowing so much synth regurgitation is bound to create a lot of gastric acidity.
7) Red Moon x Jagermeister: Ignite
29th June
What: The Red Moon Tribe and Jägermeister team up to bring you a day and night dance party at The Third Day at North Melbourne, featuring a thoughtfully curated line up of Melbourne underground legends, and a strong current of family vibes.
Why: Nothing says ‘family vibe’ like a shot of Jägermeister. We know we need at least three shots to be able to face ours.

6) Whisky Business
26th June
What: Supernormal Canteen will join forces with Nikka and Asahi to celebrate all things whisky at a one-off dinner event. Kevin Griffin from Nikka will host the evening, guiding the room through each menu pairing. The menu will reference the Scottish influence on Nikka’s range of whiskies with broths, cured and smoked fish and offal all making an appearance.
Why: House two kinds of liver in your body: the fried and shrunken and the pulsating and enlarged.

5) Falcona 10th Birthday Music Festival
29th June
What: Falcona are set to celebrate a decade of dominance in 2019 with a celebration like no other to mark the occasion. The iconic 1940s warehouse, The Wool Store, will play host to a stacked lineup for this one-day festival. Featuring: DMA’s and Hot Dub Time Machine as well as George Maple, Running Touch, Young Franco, Carmouflage Rose, Graace, Approachable Members of Your Local Community and Paces.
Why: A rave to end all raves. If only.
4) Dragfest: The Realness Tour!
29th June
What: If you think you’ve already seen the best drag show of your life, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Hosted by your fave Brisbane bombshell, Vollie La Vont, they’re bringing you 8 of the best queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Why: The brilliance of Australia’s drag scene is endless. Though if you’re looking for an end to something, bring along your bigoted grandma with the heart condition and tell her to put on her Sunday best for a good old fashioned night on the town. It’ll save the coroner having to request her funeral attire.
3) King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ‘Fishing For Fishies’ Tour
27th & 28th June
What: Seven-headed Aussie psych-rock beast King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are releasing their 14 studio album with Fishing For Fishies and it is perhaps their most perfectly-realised album to date! To support the release the band collides with Australian tarmac for their first dedicated headline tour!
Why: From fishing for fishies to…infesting the rats nest. It’s like a playschool episode on animals for children with psychopathy.
2) Hybrid Festival
29th June
What: Putting an emphasis on innovation, creativity and experimentation, the featured line-up at this festival is designed to disrupt and push back against the ‘norms’ of culture in dance music today, spanning from contemporary hip hop, ballroom (vogue) culture, unearthly vocals, post-rave gabber, mind-bending electro and intersectional influences of techno.
Why: Because there’s nothing more experimental than hybridity between genres that range from exhibiting a ‘sick beat’ to a ‘pounding rhythm’.
