8th June

What: The Whiskey Rumble is Whisk(e)y Tasting with a PUNCH! Whiskey professionals alongside a comedian will work the complexities of Whiskey into a hilariously entertaining and educational show.

Why: Finally. A comedy set that understands vast quantities of alcohol are necessary to enjoy improv stand up.

8) 107 Presents: Come Together

8th June

What: The day will kick off with a special screening of There Goes Our Neighbourhood by Claire Lewis followed by a panel focusing on the gentrification and the changing nature of the Redfern area. Next up – hear the experiences of some of Sydney’s top First Nations and POC creatives. As the sun sets, the lights start up. Light installations, sound works, performance art pieces will envelop the senses. Move between the gallery with art, DJs and performance art, into the performance space where you’ll be treated with some of the best upcoming local musical talent that Sydney has to offer.

Why: You know what always makes a killer party better? A discussion concerning the troubling nature of urban gentrification.

7) Royals LGBTIQ Party

7th June

6) Freshflix Film Festival and Late-Night Spookfest

8th June

What: After seven phenomenal seasons, Vivid Sydney x Freshflix is back to showcase the best in short film. Their mission: to elevate the brightest shining new talents of Australian and international independent cinema. Settle in to watch all the festival goodies on the big screen, along with Freshflix’s signature live music sets.

Why: Love film but feel that 2 hours watching incestuous fishing families mourn the encroachment of big business on their land is slightly excessive? This one’s for you.

5) Pop Up Polygon: Take One

3rd June

What: Love great food? Love great wine? Love seeing five chefs and a sommelier run around like headless chickens trying to feed 42 people? The Polygon team will be hosting their first pop up restaurant for one night only! The meal will consist of 5 courses and snacks, a culmination of different chefs visions and skill.

Why: What everyone wants in a night of gourmet experimentation. Chefs that are so stressed they resemble the twitching corpses of freshly murdered farm animals.

4) Peak Music Festival
