10) Stable Series x Revolver Upstairs presents Molly
20th January
What: A polished DJ, accomplished producer, A&R and now a label owner, too, Molly is a professional who embodies the true spirit of house and techno.
Why: The ‘true spirit’. Which, we’ve learnt, is drinking until getting stabbed in the ears by what sounds like a malfunctioning printer becomes enjoyable.
9) I Remember House: Melbourne Australia Day
26th January
What: I Remember House returns to Melbourne back at the gorgeous Emerson Rooftop Bar & Club on Commercial Road. A night under the Australian stars. Hot night. Deep vibes.
Why: Funny. Seems that everyone in to house music now has a memory that stretches as far back as the early 2000s. We’re not saying they’re largely teenagers. We’re saying it took a lot of a drugs to be able to enjoy that music.
8) Riva Down Under ft. Timmy Trumpet, Will Sparks, Stafford Brothers
26th January
What: An All-Australian artist line up that will leave you sizzling for more… Follow these sounds beach side to Melbourne’s most prestigious venue Riva St Kilda. Featuring: Timmy Trumpet, Will Sparks, Stafford Brothers, Tyron Hapi, Horizon, Piero, Chloe Wilson, Orkestrated, Rodjar, Lucille Croft, Indigo Starlight and Morning Maxwell.
Why: A pretty straight forward beach-adjacent party. Expect standard contemporary bands and skin cancer.
7) Homebass “No Rainbow” Edition
26th January
What: Come, get loose and dance the night away with killer tunes with a fresh air conditioned back room of Melbourne’s favourite intimate venue. Right on the 86 Tram line!
Why: Nothing says carefree dance night like the boxed in sweaty hell of the morning commute you’ll eventually be facing.
6) Lucid: Voyage Recordings Showcase
19th & 20th January
What: One of Australia’s favourite dance labels returns to Lucid once more, for a showcase of unparalleled proportions! Featuring: Roza Terenzi, Rings Around Saturn (LIVE) and Albrecht La’Brooy (LIVE).
Why: Pretty self-explanatory. It’s a dance night in a club wherein you’ll be doing your best to reverse your state of lucidity.
5) Botox Party Episode 1: The Lovers
26th January
What: Botox Matinèe Milano has taken flight and will arrive in her sister city Melbourne. A journey exploring 7 Tarot Cards, each card will be the theme of 7 Spectacular Parties. This is Episode 1: The Lovers.
Why: We know, we know. Tarot cards. But, hell, the world went apeshit with that Mayan calendar apocalypse thing. At least with these meaningless pieces of paper you can get blasted and dance.
4) BearFEST: HUNK

What: If you’ve been saving up that special outfit or gear for a party with a difference – this is the one to wear it to! Grab your trusty pair of Levi’s, that special harness or jocks and boots combo – you have permission to wear whatever you want (with the appropriate footwear of course!) and you’re ready to HUNK!
Why: Finally. Screw the stale air of Christmas and biological family. The year is in full swing now. Time for a real goddamn party.
