Easter Show!

Careful. Don’t break the yolk.

First held in 1823, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is Australia’s largest annual ticketed event, attracting over 850, 000 attendees on average.

Forget about the amount of historically horrifying statistics encompassing a significant amount of that average and immerse yourself in the joyousness of the rural brought to the city.

If you’ve ever felt the CBD was missing the glorious aroma of fairy floss and livestock excrement, this is the event for you.

The Easter Show is a celebration of Australian culture, from rural traditions to modern day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. Every Easter, the country and city join together at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, for nine days of agricultural competitions, animal experiences, live entertainment, carnival fun, shopping and much more.  So, get involved, city slickers! Judge the potency of a dog, decorate the carousel in bile-infused Cheese Burger Pie and romantically lather a chicken all at once. It is truly a singular event.

And if you have the cash, grab a showbag. Please remember, the event coordinators do not accept responsibility for ill-delivering Captain Underpants or Fairy Girls showbags. It goes the same for Giant Wicked Fizz. They can only do so much.

The Easter Show runs from the 23rd of March until the 3rd of April.

Rejoice!

The runny bit is the best bit.
